Pink Out Game Gear: Custom Breast Cancer Awareness Jerseys and Team Apparel

Every October, teams across the US go pink. High school football Friday nights, volleyball “Dig Pink” matches, youth soccer and basketball programs all host Pink Out games to honor survivors, remember loved ones and raise money for breast cancer research and support. If your team is planning one, here is how to make the gear look great and make the night mean something.
What is a Pink Out game?
A Pink Out is a game where players, coaches and fans wear pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October). Many teams also:
- Honor survivors and families at halftime or before the game
- Sell pink shirts or hoodies and donate the proceeds
- Auction game-worn jerseys after the game
- Invite the crowd to wear pink and fill the stands
Pink Out gear ideas for players
- Breast cancer awareness jerseys: a special one-game jersey in pink, or your normal colors with pink numbers, trim and a ribbon on the sleeve
- Pink arm sleeves, the easiest add-on at just $8, and a favorite with football, basketball and softball players
- Pink socks, headbands and gloves
- Warm-up shirts with a ribbon and “Tackle Cancer,” “Strike Out Cancer” or “Dig Pink”
Because our uniforms are sublimated, adding pink accents, a ribbon or a survivor’s name costs nothing extra in design. See how sublimation works.
Gear for coaches, cheer and fans
- Pink or white coaches’ polos with an embroidered ribbon
- Cheer uniforms with pink bows and accents
- Fan T-shirts and hoodies for parents and students, which are the easiest items to sell for fundraising
Turn your Pink Out into a fundraiser
1. Open an online team store with pink shirts and hoodies
2. Add a few dollars to each item as a donation
3. Share the link with families, your school and local businesses
4. Present the check at your Pink Out game
Families order and pay online, so nobody handles cash, and the whole order ships together.
Design tips for awareness jerseys
- Keep your team identity: use pink as an accent with your primary colors so the jersey still looks like your team
- Place the pink ribbon on the sleeve, collar or chest
- Add a tribute line on the back collar (“In honor of…” or “Fight like a girl”)
- For a one-game jersey, order enough for the whole roster plus a few to auction
Plan ahead for next season
Our production takes just 4–5 working days after mockup approval, plus about 4–6 days of shipping. For a Pink Out in October, start planning in early September so you have time to design, collect sizes and run a fundraiser store. Missed it this year? Lock in your design now and you will be first in line next fall.
Awareness gear all year long
Pink is just one cause. Many teams also wear special uniforms for other awareness and tribute games during the year, such as military appreciation, autism awareness and childhood cancer awareness. We can design gear for any cause that matters to your community.
